    In brief

This point is useful for easing certain respiratory concerns such as cough and asthma, as well as skin concerns such as boils and acne. It may also help soothe tension and stiffness in the back.

Hollow below the T6 spinous process.

    How to stimulate it (acupressure)

Apply steady, moderate pressure with your thumb or index finger to the depression just below the most prominent bone in your back at shoulder level (usually the sixth thoracic vertebra, around the middle of the back). Massage this point using circular movements or firm pressure for 1 to 2 minutes. The sensation should be one of light pressure or mild numbness, never sharp pain.
