Baxie — Eight Evils
In brief
These acupressure points, located on the dorsum of the hand, are known for helping to relieve numbness, stiffness, and pain in the fingers and hand. They are often used to provide some comfort when the hands feel tense.
Where to find it
Back or upper side of the hands, in the 8 spaces between fingers, half-closed fist
How to stimulate it (acupressure)
To stimulate the Baxie points, make a loose fist and locate the depressions on the dorsum of your hands, between the bases of adjacent fingers. Use the thumb or index finger of your other hand to press firmly but gently on each of the eight points. Apply steady pressure or make small circular movements for about 1 to 2 minutes per point. You should feel deep pressure, sometimes with slight numbness, but never sharp pain. You can repeat this self-massage 2 to 3 times a day, especially if you feel tension in your fingers or hands.
