Xiyan — Knee Eye
In brief
The Knee Eye point is ideal for easing knee pain and supporting a sense of stability in the legs. It is a key point for soothing discomfort in this joint.
Where to find it
The two eyes of the knee: hollow on either side of the patellar ligament, below the kneecap
Indications
How to stimulate it (acupressure)
There is one point on the medial side and another on the lateral side. Sit with your leg slightly bent. Use your fingertips to apply firm but comfortable pressure to both points simultaneously. You should feel a soothing sensation in the area, possibly with slight numbness, but never sharp pain. Hold the pressure for 1 to 2 minutes on each side. You can repeat this self-massage 2 to 3 times a day, especially when discomfort arises.
