    Bafeng — Eight Winds

    In brief

The Eight Winds points are located on the dorsum of your feet, between your toes. They are often used to relieve discomfort and pain in the toes and feet.

    Where to find it

On the back or upper side of the foot, in the 8 spaces between fingers or toes

    How to stimulate it (acupressure)

To stimulate the Eight Winds points, use your thumb or a finger to apply firm, steady pressure to each of the eight spaces between the toes on the dorsum of the feet. Massage each point with small circular movements for one to two minutes. The sensation should be one of distinct pressure, possibly with slight numbness, but never sharp pain. If pain occurs, reduce the intensity. Repeat one to three times a day, as needed.

Effects in traditional Chinese energetics (TCM)

These points work by 'relaxing the tendons' (releasing muscular and ligamentous tension) and 'addressing foot pain' (relieving unpleasant sensations and localized swelling).
