    Erheliao — Ear Harmony Hollow

    In brief

This point is helpful for relieving tinnitus (ringing in the ears), headaches, and facial tension. Stimulating it may promote a sense of relaxation and comfort around the head and ears.

    Where to find it

Forward of the helix, at the supra-tragal notch, at the hairline.

    How to stimulate it (acupressure)

To stimulate this point, place your index finger or thumb just in front of the crease above the tragus (the small projection in front of the ear opening), at the hairline. Apply moderate pressure, neither too firm nor too light, making sure you feel no sharp pain. Massage using small circular movements or gentle, steady pressure for 1 to 2 minutes. You should feel slight pressure or numbness. Repeat 2 to 3 times a day, or whenever you feel the need.
