Daying — Great Welcome
In brief
Point E5, also called "Great Welcome", is located on the face and may be stimulated to help ease a feeling of facial swelling or stiffness, particularly around the jaw.
Where to find it
Forward of the jaw angle, on the anterior border of the jaw muscle.
How to stimulate it (acupressure)
To stimulate this point, place your index or middle finger on the anterior border of the masseter muscle, just in front of the angle of your mandible. Apply moderate but firm pressure using gentle circular movements. You should feel a sensation of pressure, or even slight numbness, but never sharp pain. Maintain this stimulation for 1 to 2 minutes. You can repeat this self-massage 2 to 3 times a day, taking care to listen to your body.
