Moxibustion
Moxibustion (heat) application is also a technique applicable to this point, generally using 3 to 5 cones. This technique must be performed by a practitioner to avoid any risk of burns and ensure its efficacy.
This point is also a Yuan-Source point, often used to strengthen and regulate the energy of the Small Intestine.
Effects in traditional Chinese energetics (TCM)
This point helps clear heat (dispel a sensation of internal heat), benefits the tendons (improves tendon flexibility and function), activates the meridian (promotes the circulation of energy along the Small Intestine meridian) and is a Yuan-Source point (the point where the organ's energy originates). It clears Damp-Heat (dispels sensations of heaviness or heat associated with internal dampness) and regulates the Small Intestine (balances the organ's functions).
