    In brief

This point is useful for relieving pain in the shoulder and around the scapula. It is often used when muscle tension or stiffness limits arm movement.

    Where to find it

In the center of the supraspinous fossa.

    How to stimulate it (acupressure)

To stimulate this point, apply firm, steady pressure with your fingertip at the centre of the fossa just above the scapula, at the base of the neck. Massage gently in small circles or press directly for 1 to 2 minutes. The sensation should be a comfortable, slightly deep pressure, but never painful. It is recommended to repeat this massage 2 to 3 times a day, or whenever needed.
