    Tianquan — Heavenly Pool

    In brief

This point is useful for relieving arm pain and chest discomfort. It may also help soothe the heart during episodes of anxiety or mild palpitations, as well as help with coughing.

    Where to find it

On the medial side of the arm, below the anterior axillary fold, between the two heads of the biceps brachii muscle.

    How to stimulate it (acupressure)

Apply moderate pressure with your thumb, increasing it gradually. You should feel a sensation of pressure, sometimes with slight numbness or diffuse warmth. Hold the pressure for one to two minutes, using small circular movements or intermittent firm pressure. Repeat this self-massage two to three times a day, or as needed. Never massage to the point of sharp pain; the sensation should always remain tolerable.
