Taiyuan — Great Abyss
In brief
This point is traditionally recognized for offering support with coughs, asthma, or sore throats. It may also help ease wrist pain or palpitations and restore vitality in cases of general fatigue.
Where to find it
At the wrist crease, in the depression on the radial side of the radial artery, between the scaphoid and the radius
How to stimulate it (acupressure)
Apply moderate pressure with your thumb, taking care not to press directly on the artery. Massage using circular movements or gentle, steady pressure for 1 to 2 minutes. The sensation should be mild pressure or slight numbness, never sharp pain. You can repeat this self-massage 2 to 3 times a day, or whenever you feel the need.

Acupuncture

It is also the Hui-Meeting point of the Vessels (the meeting point of the blood vessels, influencing circulation). It strengthens the Lung (the organ).
