    Jimai — Swift Assault

    In brief

Point F12 may help ease tension and discomfort in the groin and genital area. It may be useful for discomfort or a feeling of heaviness in this region.

    Where to find it

Groin region, lateral to the femoral artery, lateral to VC2.

    How to stimulate it (acupressure)

Apply gentle to moderate pressure with your fingertip, taking care not to press too firmly on the blood vessels. Massage in small circles or apply steady pressure for 1 to 2 minutes. You should feel light pressure or slight numbness, never sharp pain. You can repeat this self-massage 1 to 2 times a day, or as needed, always listening to your body.

    For practitioners

    Other uses

    Acupuncture

    Depth : 0.5-1 cun

The practitioner will insert the needle perpendicularly to a depth of 0.5 to 1 cun. Special attention is paid to avoiding the femoral artery when needling this point.

This point is very effective for harmonizing the flow of energy in the lower abdominal region.

Effects in traditional Chinese energetics (TCM)

This point promotes the flow of Liver Qi (the vital energy associated with the liver and smooth movement), resolves dampness (helps clear fluid accumulation or feelings of heaviness), and benefits the genital organs (supports function and well-being in this area).
