Shaochong — Young Surge
In brief
This point is useful for easing palpitations or a feeling of inner agitation, and may also be stimulated in cases of mild heatstroke or a heavy-headed feeling. It helps restore a sense of calm and mental clarity.
Where to find it
Medial side of the little finger, behind the radial nail corner.
How to stimulate it (acupressure)
To stimulate this point, apply firm but painless pressure to the inner (radial) corner of the nail of your little finger, on the side toward your body. Massage using circular movements or alternating pressure and release for 1 to 2 minutes. You should feel distinct pressure without sharp pain. Repeat 2 to 3 times a day, or more frequently for a temporary need.
