Rugen — Root of the Breast
In brief
This point is useful for relieving tension or discomfort in the chest area, particularly discomfort related to the breasts. Stimulating it may help support breast well-being.
Where to find it
In the 5th space between ribs, directly below the nipple, farther from the torso than the midline.
How to stimulate it (acupressure)
To stimulate this point, gently place the tip of your index or middle finger on the area just below the nipple, about one palm width (4 fingers) on either side of the midline of your chest. Apply gentle to moderate pressure, using circular movements or direct pressure. Maintain this stimulation for one to two minutes. You should feel mild pressure or a soothing sensation, never sharp pain. You can repeat this stimulation two to three times a day, or as needed. It is important to listen to your body and never force the pressure.
