In brief
This point is useful for easing digestive discomfort, including bloating, stomach pain, bowel issues such as diarrhea or constipation, and indigestion. It may help you regain a feeling of lightness and well-being after meals.
Where to find it
In the depression on the lower and front border of the inner ankle bone.
How to stimulate it (acupressure)
Apply gentle to moderate pressure with your thumb or index finger. Massage using small circular movements or slow, deep presses. Maintain the pressure for 1 to 2 minutes. The sensation should be comfortable, perhaps slightly heavy or numb, but never painful. You can repeat this self-massage 2 to 3 times a day, particularly before or after meals, or when digestive discomfort occurs.
Effects in traditional Chinese energetics (TCM)
This point helps regulate the Qi (vital energy) and Blood (nourishing fluids) of the Spleen (digestive system), supporting digestion and intestinal transit. It is classified as a Jing (River) - Metal point, meaning it is particularly helpful for addressing acute conditions and digestive imbalances.
