Effects in traditional Chinese energetics (TCM)
This is a Shu-Stream point (a transport point through which Qi reaches the internal organs) and a Yuan-Source point (a major point on the meridian where deep Qi originates). It is very important for the Spleen (the organ involved in digestion and the transformation of food) and helps tonify Qi (vital energy) and Blood (a nourishing substance). It also helps transform Dampness (an accumulation of pathogenic fluids).
