This point works by regulating the Yin Qiao Mai (Yin Heel Vessel) and the Yin Wei Mai (Yin Linking Vessel), and it is a Xi-Cleft point (a cleft point that addresses acute imbalances) of the Yin Wei Mai. It acts on Blood (a fundamental substance that nourishes the body), Qi (vital energy), and the relevant meridians (energy channels).
