    Rangu — Return Valley

    In brief

The point Rn2, also called Return Valley, is located on the foot and is often used to soothe genital itching, support menstrual cycle regularity, and ease certain internal imbalances such as night sweats.

    Where to find it

Below the tuberosity of the navicular bone, inner side of the foot

    How to stimulate it (acupressure)

To stimulate this point, locate it below the prominent bone on the medial side of your foot, at the level of the plantar arch, just below the big toe. Apply moderate pressure, massaging the area with small circular movements or pressing firmly. The sensation should be tolerable; slight numbness is normal. Never massage to the point of sharp pain. Maintain the pressure or massage for 1 to 2 minutes per foot. You can repeat this stimulation 2 to 3 times a day, or whenever you feel the need to soothe your symptoms.

Effects in traditional Chinese energetics (TCM)

This point nourishes Kidney Yin (the fundamental energy and body fluids associated with calm and regeneration), benefits the throat, and is considered a Ying-Spring point (a key point for balancing the meridian's energy) and a Fire point (a point associated with the Fire element, which may help moderate internal heat).
