    Point Xi-Cleft (Emergency)

    Waiqiu — Outer City

    In brief

This point is useful for easing pain in the chest, along the sides of the body (beneath the ribs), or in the legs. It may offer comfort when these areas feel uncomfortable.

    Where to find it

Outer side of the lower leg, above the outer ankle bone, on the front edge of the fibula.

    How to stimulate it (acupressure)

To stimulate this point, apply firm but gradual pressure with your thumb or index finger. The pressure should be enough to produce a feeling of heaviness or slight numbness, but never sharp pain. Hold this pressure for 1 to 2 minutes. You can repeat this self-massage 2 to 3 times a day, or whenever needed.
