    Weidao — Linking the Path

    In brief

Point VB28 is useful for easing discomfort in the lower abdomen and pelvis, such as certain types of abdominal pain. It may also help support the body in dealing with specific gynecological concerns.

    Where to find it

    forward and downward of VB27.

    How to stimulate it (acupressure)

To stimulate this point, apply gentle but firm pressure with your thumb or a finger, just anterior and slightly inferior to point VB27 (located on the anterior border of the hip bone). The aim is not to find a painful spot, but an area sensitive to pressure. Apply pressure for about 1 to 2 minutes on each side, using small circular movements or steady pressure. You should feel mild pressure or slight numbness, but never sharp pain. Repeat this technique 2 to 3 times a day, or as needed, avoiding any pain.

    Acupuncture

    Depth : 0.5-1 cun

The acupuncturist can insert a needle perpendicularly to a depth of 0.5 to 1 cun. This procedure must be performed by a qualified and experienced professional to ensure safety and effectiveness.

    Moxibustion

Moxibustion, a technique using the heat of an herb (mugwort), can be applied to this point for 10 to 20 minutes by a practitioner. This method warms and stimulates the point deeply.

This point is specifically recognized for its action on the Girdling Vessel, making it a key point for gynecological and pelvic concerns.

Effects in traditional Chinese energetics (TCM)

This point regulates the Dai Mai (Girdling Vessel, a major energetic pathway that encircles the waist), helping to address leukorrhea (vaginal discharge). It also strengthens the uterus (supports the uterus's energy).
