Bizhong — Center of the Arm

    In brief

The Bizhong point, or Center of the Arm, is known for soothing arm discomfort such as pain, numbness, or difficulty moving. It is a useful point for restoring greater comfort and flexibility in the arm.

    Where to find it

Dorsal side of the forearm, midpoint between the elbow and the wrist

    How to stimulate it (acupressure)

Apply moderate pressure with your thumb or a finger, using small circular movements. A mild sensation of pressure or warmth is normal, but it should never be painful. Maintain this pressure for 1 to 2 minutes. You can repeat this self-massage 2 to 3 times a day, or whenever you feel the need.

    For practitioners

    Other uses

    Acupuncture

    Depth : 0.5-1 cun

This point may be needled by a professional. The recommended puncture depth is 0.5 to 1 cun perpendicularly, a procedure that falls within the practitioner's scope of practice.

Effects in traditional Chinese energetics (TCM)

This point works by activating the collaterals (secondary channels that supply the tissues and connect the meridians) and relaxing the tendons (structures that connect muscles to bones), supporting better circulation and greater flexibility.
