    Extra - Upper Limb

    Wailaogong — External Laogong

    In brief

This point on the back of the hand is useful for relieving neck tension, such as torticollis, and soothing pain or numbness in the hand and fingers. It helps ease stiffness and improve flexibility.

    Where to find it

Back of the hand, opposite LI-8

    How to stimulate it (acupressure)

To stimulate this point, locate it on the back of your hand, directly opposite the hollow of the palm (between the second and third metacarpal bones). Apply moderate pressure with your thumb, using circular movements or steady pressure. The sensation should be firm but comfortable, without sharp pain. Maintain the pressure for 1 to 2 minutes per hand. You can repeat this stimulation 2 to 3 times a day, depending on your needs.
