Sishencong — The Four Points of the Alert Spirit

    In brief

These acupressure points, located around the vertex of the skull, are known for calming the mind and supporting restful sleep. They may also help relieve headaches and dizziness.

    Where to find it

A set of four points grouped around GV-20, located posterior, anterior, and to each side of this point.

    How to stimulate it (acupressure)

Apply gentle to moderate pressure with your fingertips to each of the four points, one at a time or simultaneously if comfortable. You should feel a mild pressure sensation, without sharp pain. Hold the pressure for 1 to 2 minutes per point. This self-massage is recommended 1 to 3 times a day, particularly in the evening before bed to encourage relaxation.
