Zhixie — Stop Diarrhea
In brief
This point is useful for relieving episodes of acute diarrhea and helping restore intestinal comfort. It may help ease the discomfort associated with digestive disturbances.
Where to find it
from the midline, at the level of the belly button
Indications
How to stimulate it (acupressure)
To stimulate this point, place three fingers of your hand outward from the center of your navel. The point is located at the end of your third finger, approximately 2.5 centimeters to the right or left of the navel. Apply moderate pressure, neither too firm nor too light, using circular movements or steady pressure. You should feel slight tension or warmth, but never sharp pain. Maintain the pressure for one to two minutes. You can repeat this self-massage two to three times a day, particularly during episodes of diarrhea.
Other uses
Acupuncture
Depth : 0.5-1 cun
Acupuncture at this point, performed by a professional, consists of inserting a fine needle to a depth of 0.5 to 1 cun (approximately 1.5 to 3 centimeters) perpendicularly. This procedure aims to regulate and harmonize intestinal function.
