Effects in traditional Chinese energetics (TCM)
This point's main actions are to correct the position of the fetus (baby) and clear heat (a sensation of warmth or inflammation). It is a Jing-Well point (a starting or ending point of the meridians, with a rapid and powerful action) and a Metal point (which influences the respiratory system and skin, according to five-element theory). It activates the meridian (the Bladder energy channel) to promote the circulation of energy and Blood (the body's vital force).
Contraindications
Caution is recommended during pregnancy. Using this point to correct the position of the fetus is a very specific indication and must be strictly supervised by a qualified practitioner. Do not undertake self-massage lightly if you are pregnant.
