    Lanweixue — Appendix point

    In brief

This point is traditionally used to help ease discomfort and pain in the right lower abdomen. It is valued for the comfort it may offer when discomfort is localized in this area.

    Where to find it

    below ST-36, tender point

    How to stimulate it (acupressure)

It is often slightly tender to the touch. Apply gentle to moderate pressure with the tip of your thumb or middle finger, using small circular movements. Maintain this stimulation for one to two minutes. The sensation should be mild pressure or diffuse numbness, never sharp pain. You can repeat this stimulation two to three times a day, particularly if you feel discomfort.
